ORACAL 8500 Translucent Cal
Description
Translucent special PVC film, providing homogenous uniformity when viewed through or on to the materials. The reduced surface gloss inhibits undesired reflection.
Release paper
Silicone coated paper on one side, 137 g/m², with special release characteristics which provide excellent wastestripping properties. For white vinyl a light blue silicone coated paper is used to form a stronger contrast to lettering.
Adhesive
Solvent polyacrylate, permanent
Area of use
This film is especially designed for high quality application on light boxes and for production of internally illuminated signs made of acrylglass, glass and pretensioned banner material. Suitable for application on cutting plotters. Semiglossy surface in white is additionally suitable for thermal transfer printing (with resin ribbons).

Attention:
Surfaces to which the material will be applied must be thoroughly cleaned from dust, grease or any contamination which could affect the adhesion of the material. Freshly lacquered or painted surfaces should be allowed to dry for at least three weeks and to completely cure respectively. The compatibility of selected lacquers and paints should be tested by the user, prior to application of the material. Furthermore the application information published by ORAFOL is to be considered. The batch traceability according to ISO 9001 is possible on the basis of the roll number.
